We voted to change the Portland charter in 2022. Portland now has 4 districts, and 3 council members will be elected in each. Ranked choice voting will let us choose up to 6 candidates you believe in to represent our district.

The district map was finalized in August of 2023. Roughly speaking it divides Portland into East Portland, North/NE Portland, Westside Portland and District 3 - the delicious nougaty center.

Approved in November 2022, Ballot Measure 26-228 includes ranked-choice voting, geographic districts, a bigger city council and new leadership roles.
